Internship: Junior Marketing Consultant

Interns will work side-by-side with both clients, Collective Members, and Brand Directors to develop web presence and craft marketing strategies to ease communication between the SSM client and their customer. In addition to attending regularly scheduled meetings with the Collective, projects/tasks are selected to aid in the intern’s professional growth, allowing for an opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-life writing and composing situations.


  • Learn how to work as a team, establishing collaborative writing experience and knowledge of team-management programs
  • Real-world experience in client relations and presentation of self and business in meetings
  • Training in website and eCommerce design
  • Learning the ropes of content creation
  • Understanding of event marketing and planning
  • Creation of a content portfolio summarizing work completed at the end of term
  • Conceptualization of the media/marketing side of starting and maintaining a business presence
  • Have an understanding of teamwork and the strengths a team effort and collaboration bring to the creative process and a final product.
  • Increased understanding of types of copywriting for various media/audiences and design applications

  • Have experience or an interest in learning how to create and distribute digital content

  • Works closely with SSM Creative Collective and Client to create content calendars  for various media platforms
  • Creates engaging content and research into business branding, market analytics, and demographic definition
  • Production and distribution of monthly newsletters
  • Interaction with web hosting and eCommerce sites for minor edits
  • Copyediting of sites, posts, marketing materials, and content
  • Connect with clients and potential clients in an interpersonal manner
  • Collaborate with vendors on projects and assignments
  • Participate in strategic marketing creative sessions


  • Up-to-date laptop and cell phone capable of work communication through video, calls, and texting; equipment will not be provided
  • Flexibility and adaptability. Ability to handle fast-paced work environment with ease and level head.
  • Experience in task management system Clickup or similar task management application (ex. Asana)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
